Commencing on December 8 2015, Pope Francis has proclaimed 2016 the Extraordinary Jubilee Year of Mercy. As a key activity for this important year, the Mercy International Association is inviting Sisters and partners in Mercy to participate in a worldwide international reflection process - MERCY INTERNATIONAL REFLECTION PROCESS - that will seek to answer the profound call of exploring Mercy anew with a particular focus on ‘the cry of the Earth and the cry of the Poor’.

  • Read the Letter announcing the Year of Mercy HERE.
  • Information on the Mercy International Reflection Process is available HERE

Those participating in the MIRP are invited in Stage Three to explore the focus issues raised in their groups in response to the theme: 'The Cry of the Earth and the Cry of the Poor', in light of biblical, theological, spiritual, ecclesial and mercy tradition - an opportunity to engage with our tradition anew.

To assist in the exploration and engagement, a number of scholars and other experts were invited to share their knowledge and insights through video interviews (including several from our Institute). Details on the VOICES project, how the microsite is structured and how to use the videos to advantage, can all be found at

Even if you aren’t formally part of a MIRP group, you are invited, over the coming weeks, to explore the microsite materials and to discover the depth and richness in the videos.
